Between pumper visits, a well pounds fluid, slips a belt, or pumps a full tank onto the ground — and nothing stops it. This controller sits at the motor panel, watches every stroke, and acts the way a good pumper would if he were standing there.
Pump-off control
When the fluid level can't keep up with the pump, the controller slows the jack or stops it on a timer — your choice per well. It stops beating a dry pump against the seating nipple at 3 AM, then brings the well back when fluid builds.
Dry-pound & belt-slip protection
Fluid pound and dry pound show up in the motor before they show up in broken rods. The controller catches the signature, acts on it, and logs it. Belt slip gets flagged before the jack is freewheeling on a Tuesday.
Daily pump cards, read for you
Every well gets a daily pump card with a plain verdict: full pump, fluid pound, or gas interference. No dynamometer truck, no waiting for someone who can read a card. Trend them over months to see a well change before it fails.
Motor load, phase balance, kWh/bbl
Reads motor load and phase balance continuously and tracks kWh and kWh per barrel per well. Lopsided phases and creeping power draw are the earliest cheap warnings a jack gives — now somebody is actually watching them.
Tank-full stop
Pair it with the wellpad.ai Tank Gauge and the controller stops the pump before the stock tank runs over — then restarts after the haul. A spill you didn't have is the cheapest event on the lease.
Panel-mount, electrician install
Mounts at the existing motor panel — an electrician wires it in a morning. No downhole gear, no polished-rod hardware, no concrete. Sealed unit, module-swap service, consumables are auto-parts-store SKUs.
3 AM. The well starts pounding fluid.
Fluid level dropped below intake and now every downstroke is a hammer blow through the rods and pump. The controller catches the pound signature and slows the jack to 6 SPM. The pound stops. Fluid builds. By morning the daily pump card reads full pump.
Without it, that well beats itself to death until the pumper's Tuesday visit — and the next thing you buy is a rod job, not a controller.
